A Case of the Week

Case 118

 A forty six-year-old male presented in our hospital suffering from headache. He had felt general fatigue since the beginning of this June. In the afternoon two days ago, he was suddenly aware of headache which induced greasy sweat. He consulted with a physician in the local clinic who introduced to the neurosurgeon in our hospital. He agreed to receive blood test and brain CT (Fig.1). Laboratory test revealed PTINR 1.29 (0.9 – 1.2), LDH 395 U/L (124 -222), white blood cells 19700/mm3; white-blasts 73.5%, lymphocyte 11.0 %, monocyte 11.5%, platelets 14000/mm3, hemoglobin 7.2g/dL.
