Case 123

 A ninety one-year-old female presented in our hospital with her family members for further investigation of neuralgic deficits. Forty two days ago, she fell down from a wheel chair in the health care center where she had been lived for long time. This accident brought her appetite loss, and edematous upper and lower extremities. Two weeks later, she was taken to a local hospital because of appearing quadriplegia. Although her edematous extremities were getting improved, her family members became nervous. They did not know the details of the situation of the accident because the care center being far from their home. She had been making a life in the wheelchair before accident since she had broken her left femur neck eight years ago.

 Medical findings revealed that both sensations of touch and pain were lost and motor function of upper and lower extremities was 0/5, indicating quadriplegia.

 She received cervical MRI for further examination.
