A Case of the Week

Case 151

 A sixty three year-old female came to our hospital for abdominal pain. She had been suffering from abdominal pain for two weeks. Abdominal pain gradually increased since the previous several days. She was given antipain killers in the local clinic under suspicious diagnosis of reflux esophagitis, inducing slight pain relief. Abdominal palpation revealed the tenderness on the whole abdomen. Laboratory test revealed CRP 4.22 mg/dL, LDH 232U/L, CPK 399U/L, white blood cells 7700/mm3 Platelets 474000/mm3. She received abdominal CT for further examination (Figs. 1-3).
