Case 176

 A fifty one-year-old male presented in oral surgery department of our hospital for right painful upper gingiva. He had sometimes experienced to feel shooting pain since the beginning of the last year. The pain degree was most this morning. Because CT did not show no evidence of maxillary sinus inflammation, he was introduced to our neuro-surgeon. He experienced shooting pain expanding from right gingiva to parietal bone when eating a meal, brushing teeth and washing face. He received brain MRI for further examination (Figs. 1, 2).

What is your imaging diagnosis ?

1. Facial nerve inflammation

2. Trigeminal nerve vascular compression

3. Acoustic neurinoma

4. Pons infarction

5. Medullary oblongata infarction
