Case 209

 A fifty eight-year-old male presented in our hospital with a referring letter from a local hospital. It said abdomen CT taken in the hospital showed a large mass at the ascending colon. He hoped to receive colon endoscopy and surgical resection in case of malignancy. Laboratory test revealed CRP 0.18 mg/dL, WBC 7840/mm3, platelet 338000/ mm3, and CEA 31.8 mg/dL.
 He agreed to take contrast-enhance CT (Figs.1, 2).

What is your diagnosis ?

1. Colon adenoma

2. Colon GIST

3. Colon cancer (purely tubular adenocarcinoma)

4. Colon cancer (mucinous cystadenocarcinoma)

5. Colon diverticulitis
