Case 69

 A seventy five-year-old male came to our hospital periodically due to atopic dermatitis. He experienced slight fever, persistent cough, malaise and weight loss for a couple weeks. He hoped to receive chest CT for fearing pulmonary malignancy. Laboratory test revealed white blood cell 6350/mm3, neutrophils, 62.5% (40 – 71), eosinophils, 7% (0 – 7), atopy differentiation test, positive, and TARC (thymus and activation-regulated chemokine) 727 pg/ml (< 450).

 Chest CT (Figs. 1-4) was taken for further investigation.
