A Case of the Week

Case 80

 A two years and five months-old infant came to our hospital with her mother for small stature. She had been followed by a local public health center because of small stature since her age of one and a half year old. Her height was 79.8 cm (-2.55 SD) and weight, 10.04 kg. Her height increase speed was 11.8 cm/year. Her hand carpal bone age in wrist radiograph was 1.6 years old. Laboratory test revealed arginine-load growth hormone releasing test 5.3 mg/dL (< 19.0) L-DOPA loading growth hormone releasing test 5.30 mg/L(<5.9), thyroid gland fT4 1.07 ng/dL (0.71-1.85), TSH 1.57 microU/mL (0.38 – 4.7).
