A Case of the Week

Case 106

 A sixty five-year-old male came to our hospital. The night before the day, he had difficulty falling sleep. Early in the morning, he felt right hemi-lateral numbness. He tried to rise up but felt dizziness, then, lied on the bed and slept again. When he woke up late in the morning, his right hemi-lateral numbness and dizziness remained. Further, he felt nausea. Medical findings revealed hypertension, 210/114mmHg, slight right motor hemiparesis (positive Barre and Mingazzini test 4/5), deep sensory (touch sensation) disorder and horizontal nystagmus. He received brain MRI for further investigation.

What neural routes in medullary oblongata were possibly damaged ?
