A Case of the Week
Case 163
An eighty seven-year-old female was admitted in our hospital for lumbago after she fell on her backside. MRI showed compression fracture of 5th lumbar spine body. Several days after, the nurse realized bloody diaper. It was difficult to communicate with her because she fell into recognition disorder. Then, we could not grasp whether she felt abdominal pain or not. Laboratory test revealed that white blood cells 24970/mm3, neutrophils 94.3%, CRP 26.57 mg/dL, blood sugar 220 mg/dL, creatinine 1.07 mg/dL, eGFR 37. She received enhanced CT using contrast medium of 70mL for further examination.
