Case 164

 A seventy six-year-old female was transported in our hospital for getting rehabilitation service. She had brain stroke approximately one month ago. It caused her paralysis of left upper and lower extremities. She had hypertension and hyperlipidemia. She was one of the Jehovah’s witnesses. Medical findings revealed dysarthria (speech disorder) and disturbance of sensation as well as left hemiparesis. She had received brain MRI at the onset time of brain attack.

What is your diagnosis ?

1. Brain hemorrhage

2. Subarachnoid hemorrhage

3. Cerebral amyloid angiopathy

4. Branch atheromatous disease

5. Brain embolism
