A Case of the 10 days

Case 312

This week, we presented two cases with bladder cancer incidentally found during the process to investigate metastatic tumors from colon cancer in both cases.

Case 1. An eighty-seven-year-old male came to our hospital for anemia and possible metastatic lung tumors. Colon fiberscope revealed ascending colon cancer. Abdomen CT and pelvic MRI depicted urinary bladder cancer (Figs 1, 2).

Case 2. An eighty-one-year-old female presented for elevation of CEA of 13.8 mg/dL. Abdomen CT depicted urinary tumor. Urinary fiberscope demonstrated bladder tumor seemingly arisen from submucosal invasion from urachus without invasion to urinary bladder membrane. She received CT and MRI for further investigation (Figs 3 - 5).

What are the ADC values of urinary bladder cancer?

1. Above 1.5

2. 1.2 to 1.5 or less

3. 0.9 to 1.2 or less

4. 0.5 to 0.9 or less

5. Below 0.5
