Case 325

 An eighty-six-year-old female presented in our hospital for investigating recurrence or metastasis of laterally spreading tumor of the colon which was treated by endoscopically resection two years before. Laboratory test revealed ALP 127 (38-113) U/L, ALT 27 (7-23)U/L, HBs antigen 76.8 (< 1) mAU/mL, HBS abtibody 31.6(< 0.5), PIVKA II 1238 mAU/mL. AFP 2.6 ng/dL. She received EOM MRI (Fig.1) and thereafter, abdomen CT (Fig.2) for further investigation.

What is the preferable treatment for this hepatic tumor of 66 mm in size?

1. Hepatic surgery

2. Transcatheter arterial embolization

3. Radiofrequency ablation

4. Chemotherapy

5. Radiation treatment
